Implementing Projects One into your business
Whether safety is something you already have in place and Projects One is helping you streamline that process, or your business is new to safety, the onboarding process needs some love and attention to get it right. It’s not a hard or lengthy process, but best to get our expert assistance for free.
We start with a zoom call where face to face is not practical. You share your screen with us, and we point you in the right direction. We will lead you through adding your staff, customers, and projects. We will discuss with you how your business currently works and where we can eliminate double up processes, email trails, and assist you with minimising your workload though setting up templates and processes that suit you.
Training your field staff how to use the mobile app is done in several ways depending on your location. Again we will provide the tools you need to ensure success.
We are here to support your business. After all, we want you to be our best advertisement on the jobsite and boast about your safety success to other tradies.
REMEMBER ROME WASN’T BUILT IN A DAY
1. Safety must come from the leaders at the top. Positive Vibes, Positive Words – Prepare for the eye rolling as soon as you mention safety and don’t let it put you off moving forward, making any changes in a workplace can have its challenges.
Management must take an active role in promoting safety and providing the tools required. Don’t put down the process by saying: “Oh, this is just something we have to do to comply with the law.” Take it seriously and make sure staff know it’s being done to protect and empower them. Consult with your staff to find the best practices for your business.
2. Train staff
Do this face to face and in small groups. Keep each session to around 30 minutes. It’s best-done early morning when everyone is fresh. I always suggest putting on a BBQ or breakfast for the crew. Get them onside from the outset.
- Be organised and have projects and tasks set up ready to go
- Make sure the person doing the training understands the system and has a good training aptitude
- Introduce Projects One Safety Online to your administration staff first
- Talk to your staff in person and outline the onboarding process
3. Monitor
Find out if staff are happy to use the new system and gather feedback. You may discover an area you can improve or requires further training.
4. Ask for help
